Air Inlet EnhancementsGas turbines are not often installed in ideal environments. Your turbine may face challenges from hot weather, cold weather, fog, sand storms, salt-laden air, and/or noise abatement regulations, to name few. Donaldson offers inlet enhancements to help overcome these challenges and keep your turbine producing its optimum output.

Inlet Cooling Cooling the turbine inlet air - even by a few degrees - can increase power output substantially. To accomplish controlled cooling, turbine manufacturers around the world most often choose Donaldson evaporative coolers or chiller coils as enhancements on the inlet air filtration system.

Donaldson D-Fog™ - Fog removal filters Heavy fog often causes excessively high pressure drop in gas turbine air inlet systems. Now there's a solution - Donaldson D-Fogª coalescing filters.

Donaldson D-Salt™ - Salt Removal Module The Donaldson D-Salt™ Accessory Module removes a broad range of water-soluble contaminants, regardless of the ambient humidity or particle size, from the airstream feeding a gas turbine. The Donaldson D-Salt™ is a second stage of filtration that is used in conjunction with a conventional gas turbine air filter assembly. The first stage assembly can be either a static or pulse type system. D-Salt™ is placed downstream from the first stage filter and serves as a barrier to the migration of salt. It has proven to be effective in removing salt from the airstream without regard to the shape, size, or phase of the salt contaminant.
